Diane Von Furstenburg jacket, Michael Kors skirt, Rampage boots

Wearing a lightweight, Diane Von Furstenburg jacket with a Michael Kors zebra printed skirt. It was refreshing to wear this jewel tone color on such a cloudy day. Oddly enough, I don't own too many purple items in my closet. I guess it's time to stock up!

D.I.Y. fingerless gloves

MK boots, Romeo + Juliet Couture anorak, Calvin Klein skirt, DIY fingerless gloves

Since the cold weather is upon us, I wanted to share this "fingerless gloves" tutorial with you. It's quite simple to do and is a great money saving alternative.

Supplies you will need: acrylic/polyester gloves(preferably colored ones), scissors, lighter

**If you are under 18, please consult with your folks before you do Step 2.

Step 1: Trim off the finger part of the gloves at the desired length. It usually measures around 2 1/2 inches.

Step 2: Sear the frayed edges with a lighter. This step helps the gloves to not unravel. It's also best to make sure the material is acrylic or polyester before searing. Natural fibers like wool/cotton will give off an unpleasant odor and is not recommended.

Step 3: That's all there is to it! You are ready to wear your new fingerless gloves.

Please link back to Behind the Seams when you use this tutorial. Thanks!

Moo.

Rachel Roy Jessica Stam sweater(gifted), BCBG skirt, Kors tights, cow print scarf

Decided to whip out this Rachel Roy cardi since the weather has been a little chill. I mixed it with an oversize scarf, a pleated chiffon skirt, and black MK tights.
I'm in love with the fact that this scarf isn't in stereotypical cow printed colors. Now lets see if I can find me a leopard printed scarf in black and white!

On a side note, please check out a recent interview I did with 80spurple! http://www.80spurple.com/blog/2010/11/02/bloggers-we-adore-behind-the-seams/
