AMSB #4: Plaid



My fourth style challenge from Bluefly and Stylelist is a Priorities plaid blouse. I love the versatility of plaid and how it can be worn in so many different ways. For this style challenge, I wanted to create a daytime look that exudes a sophisticated, preppy, and feminine feel to it. The plaid ruffled blouse was paired with a deep emerald green V-neck cardigan and navy blue bubble shorts.

  4. I was wearing shorts the other day too, but in Texas. These past few days have been chilly enough for me to wear tights without wanting to peel them off at the end of the day. Your outfit is too cute!

  7. I love this look. It is easy for plaid to look farm housey if done wrong, but this is very chic. You've got my vote! I'm in FL also, crazy weather, but I hate the cold so I wouldn't trade it for anything

  22. You did it again! I think the belt totally works b/c a dark red one would be too matchy and the brown really contrast and makes the whole look a bit more casual for daytime. Keep it up girl!

  32. I do love this look almost as much as I like last week's look...

    I love shorts in winter, I wish I could wear them... I also wish I could wear them to work. I feel guilty wearing anything shorter than 2 inches above the knee (definitely not flattering to my short legs).
